If you want something sweet, warm and delicious that only requires a few ingredients, I’ve got you covered!
This simple cake is so tasty that my children have asked that it be their birthday cakes before!
The best part? You probably already have the ingredients on hand to make it.
Hot milk cake with Nutmeg glaze
Preheat oven to 350.
In mixing bowl beat
1 cup sugar
1 TBS Vanilla Extract
Add to that
1 Cup of Self-Rising Flour
In a sauce pan, bring to a boil
½ cup of milk and
1 TBS butter
Add slowly to the batter and stir gently.
Then add ½ tsp of Nutmeg
Pour into a greased 10 x 6 cake pan.
Bake for about 25 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean.
For the glaze, mix together the following in a saucepan and melt;
2 TBS butter
2 TBS water
½ cup Sugar
½ tsp nutmeg
Poke holes in cake with a toothpick or fork and pour glaze all over cake. Serve warm.
