We often celebrate our children’s firsts: first tooth, first steps, the first day of school, first time driving a car…
Yesterday, we celebrated a last; the last time we have an unboxing day for our homeschool curriculum.😭
We’ve had many unboxing days since 2004, and it’s a little surreal to think it is nearly over.
Lainey will start college classes in the fall of 2020, and my work will be significantly less.
Funny how life goes.
My boys were reluctant learners and would often have to be made to run around the house several times to get their energy out before they would do their work.
I was worried to death that they weren’t learning anything and that I wasn’t educating them “correctly.”
Both of them have made the Dean’s list, and last semester, our oldest made the Presidents list in college, so something must have taken hold.😉
Our daughter, on the other hand, was a peach when it came to sitting still and doing her lessons. (Thanks Lord, for giving me a little break with the girl.)
We have spent many happy days reading aloud from the literature-rich, Sonlight Curriculum. Reading aloud to your kids is so important! Even when they are older. I learned so much myself from those books and am glad that we have those sweet memories and time spent together.
Would you like to see a list of the books that we have read in our Home School since 2004? It is extensive, but you might find some good titles for your family.
Drop me an email at Lindy (at) LindySellers.com and I will send you the 4-page booklist, right away!
